Electronic Arts may have received plenty of backlash coming out of the rectum of 2017 and into the mouth of 2018, but that didn’t seem to affect the company too much in the U.K., where they dominated the sales charts from top to bottom with a number of titles making the top 20 according to the Chart Track data provided by UKIE.

The top 20 games that sold across the U.K., for the week ending on January 6th, 2018 are as follows:

Out of the 20 top-selling games of the previous week, four of those slots were occupied by Electronic Arts, and two of those slots belong to games within the top five sellers bracket. The number one selling game for the previous week was obviously EA Sports’ FIFA 18, so it doesn’t look like all the negative publicity hurt EA for too much save for during the initial launch period of Star Wars: Battlefront II.

In fact, you’ll notice that the fifth best-selling game of the previous week in the U.K., is Star Wars: Battlefront II. If the game continues to maintain top positions on the chart, then EA might be able to recover from the slow sales start during the launch period and maintain a strong tail-end in the long run, unless more gamers hold the wallet.

U početku, Star Wars: Battlefront II got off to a pretty awful start back in November, moving less than 885,000 units at retail, Dok Call of Duty: Drugog svjetskog rata moved 4.4 million units at retail. This was all in response to EA attempting to implement a gambling system into the game and target it towards kids in order to get them hooked.

Nevertheless, it appears some gamers (at least in the U.K.,) have forgiven EA and are back to supporting them. Hopefully, though, this was just a one-off week and not a trend of things to come. According to Express.co.uk, the overall 2017 PlayStation U.K., downloads list showed promise, with Star Wars: Battlefront 2 securing a spot near the bottom of the field just ahead of Battlefield 4 i Ubojica's Creed: Origins.
