One Punch Man live-action adaptacija u razvoju u Sonyju

Sony is working on a Jedan Punch Man live-action adaptation based on the popular eponymous manga and anime series. The movie is being penned by the writers behind Sony’s 2018 blockbuster, Otrov, despite the movie’s story pacing being one of its low points.

Prema Raznolikost, Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner will be helming the project’s writing duties, while Avi Arad and Ari Arad from Arad Productions – known for producing lots of super hero cartoons and movies throughout the years – will be handling production on the Jedan Punch Man film.

Variety states that Sony sees it as an opportunity to add another franchise to their plate, alongside various other blockbusters, including the Jumanji films starring The Rock, which were also written by Rosenberg and Pinkner.

Kao što je istaknuo IGN, there’s currently no announcements about the cast nor any word on who is being selected to direct the film. But I think just about anyone who has been paying attention to [current year] sociopolitics in movies and media knows exactly how the casting will go.

Given that all major studios these days – especially Sony – are converged, expect lots of “diverse” casting to ruin the good name of Jedan Punch Man. Saitama will likely be cast as a dark-skinned, bald-headed actor with a strong Hindi accent from India, while Tatsumaki and Fubuki will be race-swapped with highly unattractive African actresses.

We already know the digs, we’ve seen it time and time again where various franchises are ruined and destroyed when turned into live-action films. Heck, even existing live-action movies aren’t safe, as evident with Sony’s 2016 Ghostbusters reboot, which ended up on the Probudite se, bankrotirajte Glavni popis.

I can only imagine what sort of an abomination the Jedan Punch Man live-action flick will be like, probably on the line of Zmajeva kugla: evolucija, but sadly there’s no stopping Hollywood from ruining good Japanese media.
