The crowdfunded, spiritually rebooted successor to EA’s Liga mutanata Nogomet has officially launched for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Digital Dreams Entertainment’s Mutantna nogometna liga (viz., it has a minor change in name to avoid the inevitable weight of EA’s obese legal arm) launched recently on Microsoft and Sony’s consoles as a digital download on the Xbox Store and the PlayStation Store for $19.99.
The game originally came out on PC back in the middle of 2017 as an Early Access title. Digital Dreams Entertainment took that opportunity to fix up and spruce up the gameplay and ensure the mechanics were tight and technically sound, unlike the PC version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa DANA.
Unlike some Early Access ventures, Digital Dreams didn’t want their game languishing in the development pool for too long, so it ended up graduating from Steam’s preschool for software titles back at the end of October.
Mutantna nogometna liga then took a short run through the Xbox Game Preview Program before prepping to launch in full for both the Xbox One and PS4 this month.

The trailer does a surprisingly good job of being informative and entertaining.
As showcased in the trailer, this is a no-holds-barred take on action sports, where if you stop to take a knee, you’ll likely lose it… along with your spleen, your clavicle and your butt bones.
The full game sports 18 different teams to play as, ranging from robots to mutants to killer aliens, voice-over commentary from NBA Jam’s Tim Kitzrow, and a number of different fields to play across with traps, tricks, and hazards that can be used to give your team the (dis)advantage(?).
There are local multiplayer options and online multiplayer support, along with a full season mode where you battle through the other teams in hopes of winning the championship.
