King of Fighters XIV DLC će dodati četiri nova lika počevši od Oswalda

SNK Corporation announced that there’s a new pack of DLC fighters on the way. In fact, the next set of four fighters will arrive this April, starting with one of the lesser known pugilists in SNK’s long running fighting game series, King of Fighters.

Two tweets went live as part of the EVO Japan weekend, with the first tweet confirming that four new characters will arrive in April for PS4 and Steam gamers. We get to see their silhouettes in the promo image, with the first character being revealed to be Oswald.

Given the knife-hand poses from the slender figure in the middle, we all know that Heidern is on the way as well, which should come as no surprise given that he’s usually not far behind his Ikari Warriors. Plus the pose obviously gives away one of his special signature maneuvers, so it was pretty obvious who that silhouette belongs to.

Some gamers are speculating that the one shadow to the far right belongs to Blue Mary, who hasn’t appeared in Kralj Fighters for quite some time, while some are hoping that either Duo Lon or B. Jenet from Garou: Mark vukova is the final entrant. I’m a little shocked that Freeman hasn’t made his debut yet, but he only arrives after Kim dies, so I guess that makes sense that he isn’t in the game yet.

SNK wasn’t done bearing gifts, however. They also revealed the gameplay trailer for Oswald, showcasing the card-wielding fighter in action and his leap to 3D for the very first time. You can check out the trailer below.

Oswald’s fighting stays identical to his debut in Kralj boraca XI on the PS2 and at arcades. He was interesting and very angular fighter, with attacks that focused on getting in close and using a lot of upward and cross attacks within short to mid range distances.

Oswalrd was definitely in the category of a very difficult-to-use fighter given his limited range. However, he was extremely powerful once you learned how to link his attacks, and counter-zone players with his quick strikes. He played out very similar to Yamazaki in a way, but he lacked the explosive power and meta game that you could utilize with raging crime boss.

As you can see in the trailer, SNK basically kept him very much identical to his 2D counterpart, which should make fans of Oswald happy when it finally arrives this April.
