Jazz Jackrabbit, klasična PC ikona iz 90-ih uskače na GOG.com

GOG.com sent out word that they are now hosting Epic Games’ classic 2D side-scrolling platformer, Jazz Jackrabbit. Back when Nintendo had Super Mario World and Sega had quality 2D zvučni games, Cliffy B., and Epic decided to give PC gamers an animal with an attitude of their own in the form of Jazz Jackrabbit.

Well, the green-furred hero with the red bandanna and big gun is now available once again from digital distributors, only this time he’s not being peddled through Scholastic’s Shareware program or the bargain bin at the local Comp USA. You can pick up a digital copy of Jazz Jackrabbit sada posjetom GOG.com prodajna stranica.

Oboje Jazz Jackrabbit and the highly underrated sequel, Jazz Jackrabbit 2, are available for $9.99 each. That’s not to mention that they’re also DRM-free.

Additionally, GOG announced that both versions of the game will be compatible with the community-made levels that are still up and available for download from over on the Jazz Jackrabbit mod page.

I loved both games to be honest. The second one had the four-player co-op mode, which was a rarity back then for a side-scrolling game. However, the Jazz Jackrabbit: Christmas Edition easily had the best soundtrack out of them all, and the S3M-quality tunes are still just as catchy today as they were back in the 1990s.

What’s also pretty cool is that GOG.com announced that Epic Pinball is also available for download as a DRM-free title, too. It’s only $5.99 and you get all the episodes.

I have to say that it was one of the very best pinball video games I’ve ever played.

All three games are also discounted temporarily by 10% off, so if the incentive to rekindle nostalgia wasn’t enough to convince you to pick up a copy, maybe the discounts will.

It’s a nice blast from the past back when games didn’t have premium loot boxes and microtransactions were still in the economic sperm of the then infant gaming industry. Sometimes progress isn’t always a good thing. But thank goodness for good old games.
