Capcom didn’t seem to send out any major announcements that I can see, but they’ve revealed a new page on the Steam store for the PC port of Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, due to go live in the spring of 2017, specifically in March.
The game originally released back in 2011 for the Xbox 360 and PS3. The game was easily one of the most popular fighting games out back then. Fast-forward to five years later and Capcom is working on Marvel protiv Capcoma: Beskonačno, which is due for release in the latter half of 2017 for PC, PS4 i Xbox One, meaning that it’s most certainly going to miss the EVO 2017 championship series.
Nevertheless, PC gamers will be too busy putting in time and effort into the revamped re-release of Ultimate Marvel protiv Capcoma 3 for PC. The game has its Parna stranica up live and ready for perusal, featuring a basic list of what the PC port will feature.
They mention that 1080p resolutions will be supported, along with 60 frames-per-second gameplay. Local multiplayer will be present, along with online play.
They released a quick Steam trailer you can check out below featuring some gameplay for the upcoming PC release of the side-scrolling 3D fighter.
Capcom is calling this the Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3: The Official Complete Works Edition. I guess we can assume there won’t be any future DLC for this particular iteration of the game?
Anyway, it’s been a long time coming, and after the PC gaming audience picked up and left consoles behind because they turned lazy and crappy, we’ve seen publishers attempting to court PC gamers with puckered up lips ready to do portjobs at the drop of a dime.
But hey, look I’m not complaining. I’ll probably be first in line to pick up a digital copy of Ultimate Marvel protiv Capcoma 3 for PC. The frame-rate and performance issues on console is what kept me far away, but that won’t (or shouldn’t) be a problem on PC.
