Rogue One: Priča iz Ratova zvijezda Trailer otkriva ključnu ulogu Madsa Mikkelsena

Wow, I was completely taken by surprise that Mads Mikkelsen is in the upcoming Rogue ON: Star Wars Story, which is a retelling of how the Rebels managed to get their hands on the Death Star plans.

I’m still horribly bummed that Kyle Katarn has been scrubbed from the Star Wars lore involving the retrieval of the Death Star plans, but there’s a lot of good things going on in the latest story trailer for the upcoming Rogue Jedan. I’m not going to waste words getting to the good parts, so you can check it out below.

The trailer kind of gives away some vital pieces of the story, so I suppose before I posted the trailer I should have said that there were spoilers inbound. First of all, we learn that the main character’s father – played by Mads Mikkelsen – plays a pivotal role in the construction of the Death Star. Not only that, but while the trailer hints at the main character’s father being killed by the empire, it turns out not to be the case at all.

The trailer gives away some important story elements while still keeping some of the story a secret. I’m not really fond of how they gave away the inclusion of Mikkelsen, because it strips away some of the intrigue going into the film. Now the only thing I’m going to be thinking about is how much screen time he gets and whether or not he’ll betray the Empire.

Rogue ON: Star Wars Story

The scene where he faces off against Darth Vader seems to hint at Mikkelsen’s character possibly getting caught out while trying to help his daughter.

It also appears as if Donnie Yen will have more than just a passing cameo in the film, appearing in a few more segments in the newest trailer. This is great news for fans of the martial arts superstar who constantly finds new ways to reinvent himself.

We find out that Forest Whitaker’s character has metal legs, we get to see some Empire forces actually being destructive for once, and there seems to be an actual atmosphere of foreboding going on in the Rogue Jedan story that looms overhead like Wikileaks looming over the Clinton campaign.

Already this movie is looking a heck of a lot better than Star Wars: Episode VII, but I’ll reserve judgment until it drops on December 16th.
