Japan tone: 2020.

The anime is set to premiere on July 9th on Netflix this summer and it’s called Japanski sudoperi: 2020. As some people in the comment section joked, it’s not outside the realm of possibility at this point to see that actual event become a reality given all of the silliness that 2020 has brought us, from crazy joggers inspecting homes under construction, to currency-bereft ocular specialists examining 45” televisions in a burning Target store, to Mistress Corona-chan giving people a deadly kiss for all seasons, 2020 has been a wild ride.

The general gist is that the story follows the tragedy of Japan’s fall through the lens of individual members of a family, some whom get trapped at their school, or at the airport, or at construction sites.
