Devil May Cry je sada dostupan na Nintendo Switchu

Capcom’s re-release of the original Devil May Cry is currently available for the Nintendo Switch. The re-release of the original 2001 third-person hack-and-slash game on the PS2 is now playable on the little Switch that could.

You can pick up a digital copy of the game for just $19.99 from over on the Nintendo eShop.

This includes bringing back all of the levels, the weapons, the enemies, and the bosses from the old PS2-era hack-and-slash third-person shooter for today’s generation of Switch-wielding hybrid gamers. Capcom dropped a trailer revealing that the game would be available on June 25th.

The graphics look pretty awful.

While the resolution is obviously improved, it’s kind of a shame that they didn’t at least improve Dante’s model, or maybe upscale the resolution on some of the other environment textures.

In the trailer above you don’t get to see really how washed out everything is and how bad the environments look, but in the second launch trailer announcing that the game is currently available for the Switch, you can see just how dated this version of the game is. Check it out below.

While the graphics are no where near as good as its PS4 rival with outings like Devil May Cry 5, at least you don’t have to worry about mysterious lights invading your play-sessions and making things unbearably eye-rolling for you.

Anyway, if you at least enjoy the old-school flair of the original Devil May Cry that started it all, you can do so right now on the Nintendo Switch for $19.99. It might be best to wait for reviews on the game before jumping up and purchasing it so you can avoid any kind of blindsiding effects like performance issues, frame-rate drops, or blurriness, which has been cropping up often in third-party titles released on the Switch.
