Over the last several weeks activist Tommy Robinson and UKIP candidate Carl “Sargon of Akkad” Benjamin have been assaulted with milkshakes while touring throughout the U.K. Burger King published a viral tweet seemingly in support of the violence, saying that they were selling milkshakes all weekend long in Scotland, which is one of the places where Carl Benjamin was assaulted.
Back in early May Robinson had a couple of milkshakes lobbed at him while he was rallying in Bury and Warrington. The footage of the attacks was captured by Guardian News and published on May 3rd, 2019.
A similar incident happened shortly thereafter on May 10th, 2019, this time with Carl Benjamin being on the receiving end of the attacks.
Several milkshakes were thrown at the UKIP candidate and MEP hopeful while he was campaigning in Cornwall, as reported by Čuvar.
Video footage of the incident was provided by BBC Radio Cornwall.

The attacks didn’t end there.
On May 15th, 2019 Carl Benjamin was campaigning in southwest England, where he was once again doused with a milkshake.
Video footage of the incident was posted up over on the Nezavisan.
Just days later on Svibanj 18th, 2019 the U.K., account for Burger King decided to get in on the political activism and actually advocated for people in Scotland to grab a milkshake. They ended the tweet with the hashtag #JustSayin.
Dear people of Scotland.

Burger King’s tweet went viral, garnering nearly 100,000 likes.
There was, however, ample pushback from the public as well, especially Conservatives given that the tweet was published just ahead of Carl Benjamin’s tour making a stop in Scotland on May 19th.
Human Events editor-in-chief, Raheem Kassam, noted that Burger King also liked a tweet from someone who called them “Antifa”, further escalating the idea that Burger King intended to instigate tensions for the UKIP candidate.

After receiving thousands of posts condemning Burger King’s unwarranted amplification of the incidents involving milkshakes being thrown at Tommy Robinson and Carl Bejamin, the account would come back and make a follow-up tweet stating that they never endorsed violence or “wasting our delicious milkshakes.

While they may have added the extra disclaimer at the end, it didn’t stop people getting violent at the Scotland rally that following day.
During Carl Benjamin’s visit to Salisbury, Scotland on May 19th, 2019, he was hit with yet another milkshake, as reported by Metro.co.uk. He was also hit by fish during his visit to Turo.
Metro quoted Benjamin, who told the BBC…
“You’re radicalising people by lying about me. There’s a link between telling lies about someone in the press and the things they are trying to do.”
Oxford Times’ Rebecca Hudson shared an image of the UKIP candidate being doused in a milkshake.

So far the only saving grace for Burger King is that it’s unclear if the drinks being lobbed are from the fast food chain.
Prema MSN, McDonald’s was actually warned by the Scotland police not to sell milkshakes or ice cream at rallies. The article states….
“The targeted drink throwing caused police in Scotland to warn McDonald’s not to sell milkshakes or ice creams over fears someone would throw product at Nigel Farage as he delivered a speech in Edinburgh.
“The fast food restaurant said it received a request from police not to sell the products while the Brexit Party leader spoke at a rally because of “recent events”.”
I don’t think McDonald’s is the one that police need to be worried about.
The fact that Burger King would actively go out of its way to encourage and instigate political tension shows just how far gone today’s society is, where mega-corporations are trying to create and raise division among the populace. Although, this isn’t the first time that Burger King decided to get “woke”.
