Ubisoft je to najavio Might & Magic Showdown will be shutting down on July 31st at the end of the month. The announcement came from the Might & Magic team via a post over on the Stranica Parna zajednica.

In the announcement they note that the game has been effectively removed from the Steam store. You can no longer make purchases and no longer acquire the game for your Steam library. Additionally, they mentioned that anyone who has been participating in the Early Access will be offered full refunds if they recently purchased the game and feel they’re owed a full refund before the service shuts down for good on July 31st, 2017 at the end of the month.

It’s not all bad news, though. According to the post they plan on using the data they’ve collected from the event to improve on their other titles…

“We wish to convey our sincerest gratitude to you, our dedicated players, who have helped us navigate the management of an Early Access campaign – because of you, we have learned a great deal about how best to serve you and we hope to carry these learnings forward into future Ubisoft projects.”

I wonder how much confidence this actually puts into gamers when it comes to Ubisoft’s Early Access games, though?

When a game can’t even graduate from Early Access from an AAA developer, I doubt anyone will be instilled with the sort of faith to believe that a company will follow through the next time out. More than anything they’re likely going to be inclined to believe that the company won’t follow through. This also speaks nothing of Ubisoft’s current reputation.

Might & Magic Showdown was PVP arena game and you could customize your miniature figurines on the battlefield. According to DSO igranje the title launched back in January as a niche game in an already niche sub-genre. So there likely wasn’t a whole lot of traction being moved when it came to the game’s hype.

If you already own it, be sure to get in the play time before the servers go kaput on July 31st.
